The choice of system depends on its objective and on the size or structure of the company. So-called small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have the door open to the “smaller” but equally effective solutions according to DIN EN 16247-1 or according to the Peak Efficiency System Ordinance (SpaEfV).
All systems have something in common: the collection of energy data, the creation of permanent structures (energy officer), the analysis of potentials and the external initial certification or testing.
A prerequisite for the reimbursement of ancillary energy costs and levies is certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001. For systems in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 and the alternative systems within the meaning of the SpaEfV, confirmation by a conformity assessment body is sufficient.
