In this module, investments for the replacement or new acquisition of highly efficient plants or aggregates for industrial and commercial applications are subsidized with up to 40%.

In this module, the replacement or new acquisition of systems for the provision of heat or cooling from solar collector systems, heat pumps or biomass systems, more than 50 percent of whose heat is used for processes, i.e. for the manufacture, further processing or refinement of products or for the provision of services, is subsidized by up to 40 %.

  • Control and regulation technology for influencing systems and processes, provided that the primary purpose of their use is to reduce energy consumption.

Funding is provided for investment measures to optimize the energy efficiency of industrial and commercial facilities and processes, and to use heat from renewable energies and waste heat for commercial processes in companies.

In this module, in particular

  • Process and procedure conversions to efficient technologies and energy optimization of production processes
  • Measures for waste heat utilization, such as the integration of waste heat for the provision of heat, including all measures required for this at the plants
  • Measures at plants for heat supply, cooling and ventilation, if these are predominantly used directly for processes for the production, further processing or refinement of products
  • Measures for the energy-efficient provision of process heat or cooling
  • Measures to prevent energy losses in the production process, such as insulation of equipment and distribution lines, hydraulic optimization, replacement of compressed air lines
  • Preparation of a savings concept and implementation support for the subsidized investment measures

The goal of the Federal Assistance for Energy Efficiency in Business is to increase energy efficiency and use of heat from renewable energy for commercial processes.

LED LIGHTING

A key component of the BEG program is funding for lighting retrofits by installing energy-efficient lighting systems in non-residential buildings as a direct grant. A new purchase, retrofit or optimization in an existing building can be funded with the Federal Efficient Buildings Grant.
